ABOUT US

The Puttometer™ is a product of Sportmeter Technologies Incorporated. Sportmeter Technologies was formed in June, 2005 with the assistance of the Innovation Development Corporation, the technology transfer office of Malaspina University-College in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada.

Sportmeter is committed to developing products that provide to the athlete useful feedback which will result in improved performance. By combining an understanding of the physics of sports with extensive testing of the product with the end user the Puttometer™ will become a primary training aid for golfers. With expertise in electronics, imbedded systems, software and the physics of sports the company is developing more products for a variety of sports.

Raymond Penner
President

A member of the Physics and Engineering Department at Malaspina University-College. Ray Penner brings to the team expertise in the physics of sports. Ray has had a series of papers on the physics of sports published in various physics journals.

William G. Weller Ph.D.
Vice President

A member of the Physics and Engineering Department at Malaspina University-College. Bill Weller brings to the team expertise in instrumentation and electronics. Bill has had experience with a wide variety of space based and ground based research and development projects.

Peter Walsh Ph.D.
Vice President

A member of the Computing Science Department at Malaspina University-College and adjunct professor at the University of Victoria. Peter Walsh brings to the team expertise in microcontrollers, imbedded systems, and computer programming.
